During the ROXY PRO, Quiksilver Foundation, Roxy and Sony Ericsson join forces to organize the ROXY CHARITY SURF event. This will be an exhibition mixing professional surfers with celebs, sponsors and guests in a tag team event including surf and paddle.
With 4 times World Sufing Champion Lisa Andersen as godmother, the ROXY CHARITY SURF will take place on the ROXY PRO main contest location, at the Cote des Basques Beach, on Saturday 16th of July from 10am.
The event will allow raising money for Lee Ann Curren’s association Surf&Hope. The famous french surfer, former ASP World Tour member aiming to get back among the elite next year, founded this association to support Brazilian Favelas kids – such as Titanzhino – and bring them to surfing.
The teams breakdown will be announced on the evening of Friday 15th during an exceptional party dedicated to Roxy’s 20th anniversary at Les Halles (Biarritz traditional market).
